This was neat. Back at the beginning of November we went down to the ROM, where they've completely re-done the natural history galleries. I loved these when I was a kid, but the new displays wowed me with millions-years-old animals floating through the modern white and glass architecture. I ran around with my camera giddly trying to take decent non-flash shots with no tripod. Completely my happy place. Resultant photos are posted here.
As an extra fun epilogue, the free online tour guide Schmap selected the above photo for their ROM article. Thanks guys! Maybe this will give me some incentive to look up what that giant ancient turtle is. I was having way too much fun to stop and read the signs.
